Portraits and Art

I am a self taught artist.  In recent years however, I have sought to hone my passion for the creative life by focusing specifically on Colored Pencil Illustration.  In this pursuit, I have attended a few classes at Akron University and at the Linden Tree Art Studio.

I love doing botanical drawings -- finding the complexity, almost otherworldliness, of plants and flowers irresistible.  I also truly enjoy the human face, from infancy to the more mature face that reflects life's own canvas.  I try to capture these brush strokes of experience when I am commissioned to draw portraits, regardless of whether the photograph I am working from is a day or a century old.
